The Protectorate is being opened to offer considered, public, and revisable advice on matters affecting the Blue Ridge region — its watersheds, night skies, soundscapes, historical fabric, and the continued capacity of its communities to deliberate for themselves.
This framing is a draft opened to the record on 2026-04-23. No principles, positions, or briefs have yet been adopted.
